NEFERTITI – Networking European Farms to Enhance Cross Fertilization and Innovation Uptake through Demonstration

The overall objective of NEFERTITI is to establish an EU-wide highly connected network of demonstration and pilot farms designed to enhance knowledge exchanges, cross fertilization among actors and efficient innovation uptake in the farming sector through peer-to-peer demonstration of techniques on ten major agricultural challenges in Europe.

The NEFERTITI project has created a well-networked pan-European community of farms and other actors in the sector who share knowledge and innovations to learn from each other. The best practices are presented by theme and through peer learning.

The project has ten different themes, each of which forms a network. The themes have been selected on the basis of the key concerns of national and regional farming communities. Together, they cover a range of topics in the livestock, plant production and horticulture sectors. In Finland, ProAgria South Ostrobothnia is focusing on two themes: precision farming and organic farming.  Find out more about the project activities on Nefertiti project's website.

The project is funded by Horizon 2020 and coordinated by the French agricultural operator Association de Coordination Technique Agricole. It brings together actors from 32 organisations in 17 European countries. See the detailed composition of the consortium and budget on the EU website.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 772705.
